Abstract
With an increasing number of patients, people suffering from several skin-related ailments, also known as pigmentation patients, are on the rise. Hyperpigmentation is one of the most common concerns among individuals with colored skin. Thus, herbal formulations are required for the treatment of hyperpigmentation.
This review article discusses the many types of hyperpigmentation, their causes, and herbal treatments for the management of skin hyperpigmentation. Uneven skin pigmentation, also known as hyperpigmentation, is a common skin ailment caused by increase in melanin production. This might result in spots or sections of skin seeming darker than the surrounding areas. Some types of hyperpigmentation, such as post-inflammatory, melasma and sun spots, affect the face, arms, and legs as a result of sun exposure or injury. Despite the fact that there are numerous therapies for the condition, which has certain side effects, dermatologists continue to face skin care management issues.
